Meet the Owners of Lakeshore Vermont Inn & Suites

A Story Worth Sharing
Deb and Neil’s journey to Lakeshore Vermont Inn & Suites began with a moment of pure instinct.

In 2004, Neil happened to drive by the property just as a “For Sale by Owner” sign was going up. He pulled over, introduced himself, and said to take the sign down, they were going to buy it.

At the time, it was a small lakeside cottage in need of significant repairs. But they saw something more: the potential to create a place where people could truly relax and enjoy the beauty of Lake Champlain.

With the property zoned for commercial use, and both ready for a new chapter, Neil, a certified plumber, and Deb, an elementary school teacher, took a leap into something completely new. What followed was years of hard work, learning, and vision. Today, Lakeshore Vermont reflects that journey, a place built with care, intention, and a genuine love for sharing this special part of Vermont with others.

  • Family-owned and operated since 2004
  • Built from a small cottage into a lakeside inn
  • Designed to feel like a true home away from home
  • Ongoing upgrades including sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge
  • A hands-on commitment to cleanliness, comfort, and guest experience
From Cottage to Lakeside Retreat
A Vision Years in the Making

What started as a single cottage has grown into a thoughtfully designed lakeside escape. Over the years, Deb and Neil have transformed the property into a place where guests can slow down, reconnect, and experience the natural beauty of Lake Champlain.

Why Guests Return Year After Year

For Deb and Neil, the most rewarding part of owning Lakeshore Vermont is hearing how much guests enjoy their stay.
