Maple Syrup Fun Facts

It takes 40 gallons of maple sap boiled down to 1 gallon of syrup.
A maple tree must be 40 years old to be tapped - 12 inches in diameter - or as we like to say - big as a bucket!
A maple tree can live for several hundred years.
Once maple syrup is opened, it must be refrigerated. Always keep the cap on tight.
Maple syrup can also be stored in the freezer.
